Ion Channels as
Therapeutic Targets 2009

5-6 February 2009

Novartis, Horsham, UK

APPLICATION  available, see below

Organised by:

RSC Biological and Medicinal Chemistry Sector
British Pharmacological Society

The objective of the conference is to encourage communication and scientific interaction between biologists and medicinal chemists with a shared interest in ion channels, with particular focus on channels that offer potential as targets for therapeutic intervention.

The conference will be organized around a series of focused seminars by both chemists and biologists working in ion channel research whilst the conference will be opened and closed by plenary lectures providing a broader perspective on ion channels as drug targets.

A poster session on the evening of 5 February will provide a valuable forum at which participants can discuss their work with a cross disciplinary group of ion channel scientists; the conference dinner on the night of the 5 February will facilitate scientific interaction in a less formal setting.
